(Relevant Research)

Relevant Research: researching this product was not that hard I just took some shot with the perfume bottle in my sitting room. I had 2 pieces of white paper taped together so I could get that white background. I got a mirror and placed it on top of the chair so it could reflect upwards. After that I put the bottle on the mirror with 2 cubes, for extra details.

I had a ring light behind the white paper so the bottle could get some light. As for the ring light I taped a piece of white paper to act as a DIY light box. I had the aperture of the camera low so there can be a proper focus on the perfume instead of the cubes.

Some problems I had was getting the background to stop falling every time I took a photography. I definitely struggled with the paper. I could see the line of the light showing from the mirror reflection, I tried to adjust the paper as best as I could to make it less noticeable. To also help with this I decided to take the shots from different angle points.

I am going to try get more reflection shots of the bottle and the cubes not overpowering the hole set up. I was stuck between thinking of taken shot without a reflection just like my experiment shot on the develop. Until I saw some top famous brands using that reflection skill. It really makes the design look very cold and attractive to the eyes. I want to get the whole product in one shot from a decent angle so you can see the name and small details of where light hits the bottle of the perfume. So, I am hoping to try to achieve that ‘wow’ look.

These are some examples of pictures from my research:
